Norfolk Cricket Boards Kwik Cricket Competition
The 20th Jan 2017 saw the school take part in the annual Kwik Cricket competition organised by Norfolk Cricket board at the UEA. After winning our opening games the school reached the final against John Grant School.
The match was very closely fought and it all came down to the last ball at which point Woodfields were winning by 1 run. Unfortunately John Grant hit a 4 with their last ball to make them the winners of the competition.
The whole day was a massive success. The matches were played in a fantastic spirit by all who competed. The pupils did themselves proud by the way they played and conducted themselves.
Sheringham Golf Clubs Men’s Senior Section presented Sheringham Woodfields School with a cheque totalling £400.00. The money was raised following a very successful Christmas lunch raffle. Charlie and Ashleigh-Rose, pupils at Sheringham Woodfields School, received the cheque during a visit by the Men’s Senior Section on Tuesday 10th January. Presenting the cheque, Mark Hogan (Lead Organiser for the Senior Section) commented on the very impressive amount raised by the raffle and was pleased to be donating it to such a worthy organisation.
Matthew Smith, Business Manager for the School, confirmed that the money would be used in the forthcoming revamp of the school hall stage lighting to help improve lighting options to support yoga, rebound therapy and school plays/productions. Matthew went on to say ‚Äúon behalf of the school I wish to thank you to all involved in this very generous donation‚ÄĚ.
Sheringham Woodfields School is a Complex Needs School educating 105 all of whom have complex and additional needs.
