Sheringham Woodfields is Outstanding!

We are all delighted with our recent Outstanding judgement, it’s a just reward for all the hard work and dedication of our staff, governors, the professionals who support us, parents, carers and obviously the fantastic children in our school.

Though the two days were tough, our inspectors were very thorough but fair.

The Governors and Leadership team have great confidence in our staff and my pep talk to staff the night before was very simple “just do what you do every day!”

For the two days the atmosphere in school was really positive and all staff and students were able to show our school at its very best.

Something that was really evident to the inspectors was the wonderful care provided by our staff.

 “Relationships between staff and pupils are a major strength of the school. Staff treat pupils with respect and dignity at all times.”

Success for our pupils is a partnership between school and parents and carers and so it was really pleasing to see the responses from parents were so positive

“All parents spoken to during the inspection or who responded to Ofsted’s online questionnaire, Parent View, spoke in glowing terms about the support that they and their child receive at school.”

Our pupils have a very wide range of abilities and needs and so we work hard to achieve the best for all by treating them as individuals, again this was recognised throughout the inspection as

“Leaders have a dynamic and flexible approach to the curriculum which is highly responsive to pupils’ individual needs.”

“Pupils are well prepared for life beyond school, which underpins the school’s whole approach”
